Meals and Snacks
We are very proud of our 5 star Food Hygiene rating which proves our commitment to staying healthy and safe. A range of healthy meals and snacks are provided and prepared freshly each day. An example of a typical days menu would be:
Breakfast; Selection of cereals, toast and milk
Morning snack: Fruit loaf/Apple slices and milk
Lunch: Chinese chicken and noodles with bananas and custard
Afternoon snack: Pitta bread, cheese, fruit and milk
Water is freely available all day and the children are encouraged to drink plenty.
We cater for all diets and work closely with parents to accommodate special dietary requirements.
The older children actively take part in preparing and making their own snacks. Things they like to make are soup, bread, cheese tarts, pizzas, cheese on toast, sandwiches and cakes. Baking is part of all the children’s daily activities with the babies making rice crispy cakes to the toddlers and pre-school children making brownies, rock buns, cookies and much more.
